Brix Solutions was built from firsthand experience with the challenges small organizations face when financial information is delayed or unclear. Cody Smith was managing the finances for a church in Tallahassee, where he first relied on an outsourced bookkeeping firm that consistently delivered reports late. The delays made it difficult to make informed decisions and created unnecessary stress.
After bringing George on to manage the financials and bookkeeping, reporting became timely, clarity improved, and leadership was able to make better decisions with confidence. That experience revealed a clear need for reliable, on-time financial and operational support for small organizations. Brix Solutions was created to fill that gap and help small businesses build strong foundations with the right information at the right time.

Cody Smith
Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Cody Smith is the Founder and CEO of Brix Solutions and a Tallahassee native. He holds a business degree from Florida State University and began his career as a district manager for Aldi where he gained hands-on experience in financial management, operations, and people leadership across multiple locations.

Cody later served in executive leadership roles within a church and a consulting firm, further developing his ability to build systems, lead teams, and support growing organizations. His passion for helping small businesses stems from seeing how delayed or unclear information can lead to poor decision-making.
Cody lives in Tallahassee, Florida with his wife Delaney and their daughter Scarlett.
George Escobar
Managing Partner
George Escobar is the Managing Partner at Brix Solutions and a Tallahassee native. He is a licensed CPA with seven years of experience and earned his degree from the University of North Florida, where he also competed as a collegiate track athlete.
George spent five years working in public accounting before joining Brix Solutions, bringing deep expertise in financial reporting, compliance, and accuracy.
He is known for his disciplined, detail-oriented approach and commitment to delivering timely, reliable financial information.
George lives in Tennessee with his wife Ellie and their four children.
